Hi I'm Lisette

I’m a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist who has worked holistically in many different areas of practice both in physical health and mental health. I became an Occupational Therapist because of my passion to ensure all people are able to engage in all areas of life regardless of their abilities and my belief that everyone deserves to achieve their best quality of life.

A few years ago I had some health setbacks and started practicing only 15 minutes of yoga a day to begin with which completely changed my physical and mental health, this small change lead to much bigger changes down the line as I fell in love with yoga and the huge knock on effect it had on my life and my wellbeing.

Through my love of practicing yoga, I stumbled across the excellent and renowned Sthira Yoga school in India where I was encouraged to start my teaching journey, and completed by 200 hour training.

Being an OT I had already seen real success in mindfulness and movement classes I have previously put together for people with a range of conditions and disabilities. Due to my own experience both personally and in my professional life I have spent much time researching the overwhelming benefits of Yoga and meditation on conditions, illness and the nervous system.

To further my knowledge of supporting people of all abilities engage in the healing practices of yoga, I have completed training in special yoga. This means I can deliver more individualised and specialist sessions to those with additional and special needs.

The wonderful thing about Yoga is everyone can do Yoga, no matter what ability you are. If you can breathe, you can do Yoga. I’m excited to be able to not only teach yoga, but to ensure everyone has access to the knowledge and practice of wellbeing and mind-body connection.

I look forward to meeting you.
