Special Yoga

What is special Yoga?

I deliver yoga to those with special, additional and often complex needs in an accessible way which allows the person to feel safe to express themselves and gain the many benefits of movement, breath work and mindfulness.

I encourage the special person to navigate their own emotional self-regulation through compassionate, patient and specialist therapeutic practices.

​

I use a range of methods from touch, sound, breathwork and movement to increase a relaxed state to create the optimum condition for encouraging positive change, impacting positively on mental and physical wellbeing.

​

I’m delivering yoga in a way that’s accessible to all people, because I know I rely so much on yoga for my wellbeing, as many of us do, and I believe everyone deserves access to thrive.

What are the potential benefits of special yoga?

  • Improved self regulation of emotional states through a calm and grounded therapeutic approach

I currently am able to support specialist schools and colleges in the North West and some areas in the North East on Fridays on a volunteer basis.

I can offer private one to one sessions outside of usual working hours. Private small group and one to one sessions are charged depending on the area.
